The Sheriff’s Model

In 1882 the first “ejectorless” or what is now known as the Sheriff's Model left the armory with a 2 ½ inch barrel.

The vast majority of the Sheriff's Model (also called the Storekeeper’s Model) sixguns were made with 3 ½" or 4" barrels. The short barrel was designed to speed up the draw, and to make the gun a bit easier to carry, or to conceal. However, some Sheriff's Model were even manufactured with 7 ½" barrels.

The Sheriff's Model is made to the original design using Black Powder Style Frames

Today we make the Sheriff's Model in a variety of barrel lengths and calibers to suit your taste. Originally conceived as a concealable short barreled revolver, today it is usually reserved for the most advanced collector. Engraving and plating were common requests on these guns when originally made “under the Blue Dome.”

The Sheriff's Model is made to the original design using Black Powder Style Frames; however, it is built to handle the modern cartridges of today.

The Sheriff's Model unique ejectorless frame makes for a light and unique profile. Order yours today at USFA.
