Mr. Donnelly, I just purchased a single action .45 from Ten Ring Precision. It is 450DT and was finished by Doug Turnbull. Fine, fine weapon. Can you provide some additional information on this particular model? Was it a special run/model? I also have a rodeo .45 (S-174); any plans to continue their production? Are the forcing cones already cut at 11 degrees? Thanks for building such a superb SAA. Sincerely from a fellow DU alumnus (GSIS 2006), Matt Harris
Answer: First all barrels are 11 degrees, second the DT guns are unfinished part sets sold to Turnbull. They are a special run for Turnbull. The Rodeo production has been held back in terms of parts to fill the near one year backlog in higher grades of guns. We will see about opening up availability next year.

Would a US Patent Firearms 357 SAA vintage 1996 have been made of imported parts or parts made in USA? Were you at the blue ome then?
Answer: The production profile would have included some subcontracted components both foreign and domestic. If, 357 S&W Magnum... It's a rare gun with probably less than 100 made. We only began making that chambering again in 2009 Shooting Master.

I DON'T SEE 1911'S IN THE LINE-UP DOUG. DID YOU STOP MAKING THEM? GREAT LOOKING PRODUCTS, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. TERRY
Answer: Yes, Terry. We did produce a limited number of 1910's and 1911's .45 and .38 Supers for several years. We may bring this back, however, not until we repair/ rebuild certain fixtures for manufacture. Thank you for your support and interest.

I am very interested in the Woodsman pistol, is your company going to indeed produce them?
Answer: I can tell your just as big a fan of the old Classic Woodsman and Match .22! Well now, the Woodsman has been a long term project at USFA. Which began in 2010/2011. (not a great time economically but we are moving forward. !) We've done a great job mastering parts that have been out of production for nearly 85 years.! Rediscovering some very interesting processes. Considering all this, our organic approach, included the purchase of substantial capital equipment... I'm sure you can appreciate all this. While we have respected the lines of the old Colt Match Target we have a critical innovation to both add flexibility and manufacturing quality to your new Match Woodsman. We have engineered an interchangeable barrel and slab sided barrel weight combination with a special bushing and wrench. You will see this offered in 2 lengths/2 calibers -all out of one magazine! Calibers will be .22 LR and the .22 Mach2. The tooling we have engineered will also allow for what we are calling the Classic Woodsman- the old smaller frame with tapered barrel-(not an interchangeable barrel) but perfect for the Camp or hiking or fly fishing in our National Parks! Inasmuch as we would like to push this entire project more quickly I'm sure you will appreciate the quality when finally delivered. We believe that with current market conditions that a 2012 expectation is more realistic. Good Shooting!

WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR BEAUTIFUL USFA 1910 & 1911? ALTHOUGH OUT OF MY PRICE RANGE, THEY WERE SOMETHING TO WISH FOR!
Answer: Yes Mark, that's true, they were very special hand crafted guns. We are rebuilding the fixtures but I'd estimate an availability next year. Thank you for your support and interest.

Any plans on making black powder reproductions in the future? It would be great to have an american made alternative.
Answer: Yes, we are looking into it. It might surprise you to learn Blackpowder guns ( made correctly) are harder to produce than top strap revolvers. Thank you for your support and interest.
